If Windows throws a warning, click More info and then Run anyway.
Hit Play
The server is already set up inside the launcher.
Got 4GB of RAM? Then it runs smooth.

Quick questions
Is it really free?
Yep. Playing is 100% free and always has been. There is a store, but it is optional: nobody has to spend a thing to play.
Do I need the original Minecraft?
Nope. The launcher handles everything for you. If you already own the original, you can use that too.
Will it run on my PC or phone?
On PC: Windows 64-bit with 4GB of RAM. On mobile: Android with at least 2.5GB of RAM. iPhone is not supported yet because of App Store limitations.
Windows blocked the installer, now what?
That is SmartScreen, the standard warning for apps that do not come from the Microsoft Store. Click More info and then Run anyway.
